German consumers prefer to eat German (89%) and regional (77%) dishes. Next in popularity comes Italian/ Mediterranean cuisine (67%), followed by Chinese (41%), then Greek (40%).

Maurer (38 years) joined the management of OPINION Market
Research & Consulting. Since 2001, Mr Maurer has been working for OPINION,
before he had worked for icon brand navigation (now icon added value) in the
field of brand and communication research for 5 years. Together with Ms
Reimers, Mr Maurer is now responsible for the development of tools/ instruments
and the further development in the field of online market research.

OPINION Fair-Review: Research & Results 2008
OPINION was actively involved at the R&R fair in Munich. Patricia Glombitza and Petra Hellmundt held a presentation in a packed auditorium about "Emotional Monitoring" and thereby specified the relationship between brand and consumer.
Fully automatic coffee machines or coffee pad systems?
At the beginning of the year, coffee pad systems for preparing coffee either using coffee-pads or -capsules could be found in 26.3% of German households in the age group of 18 to 39 - year - olds. Compared with our investigations in the year 2006, this is only a 1.9% increase.
In a representative study among 7,511 households 50.4% of those surveyed stated that at least one person in their household takes magnesium as a dietary supplement - 24.4% of them take it regularly i.e. daily or several times a week.
